If you’ve found this article then it means you have asked yourself the question ‘what is my passion?’

It’s a great question and it is my hope that this article will help you discover yours. Let’s first consider the following questions for how to find your passion:

  • What do you do that comes easily?
  • What would you enjoy doing without being paid for it?
  • What gets you up every morning?
  • What gets you excited?
  • What makes you smile when you think about doing it?

The answers to these questions should lead you to something you are passionate about. The problem is, many of us confuse our passions for our gifts.

The difference being is our passion is something that you seek out, something that you feel like you were meant to do.

Our gifts are the things that we were born with, something that is there no matter what.

What Is My Passion?

Your passion is something that can change throughout your life but it will always be something that you think is interesting.

By focusing on the questions listed above you can start to hone in on what truly sparks something within you. It could be making money in new and interesting ways, building a product that simplifies everyday life, or it could be that you love learning about animals.

By simply looking inwards you will be able to figure out how to find your passion.

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you exactly what your passion is, only you can answer that question. But what comes next is the best part, figuring out how to grow that passion into something more.

Maybe even into a new stream of income. In order to do that we need to look at finding your purpose.

Finding Your Purpose

What I mean by your purpose is what is your meant to do once you’ve found your passion.

Are you an educator, an entertainer, a researcher, or something else entirely?

Take music as an example, you can be passionate about music and use that to teach people guitar. Maybe you will be the frontman of a band or even a DJ who plays songs in clubs or on the radio.

Here’s what you should do if you don’t know what your gifts are or how to use them. Follow your curiosity, really dig deep and explore the topics you enjoy.

If you didn’t have to worry about money and things like that what is the one thing you would want to do? Where would you go and what would you do once you’re there?

I believe that the thing we’re most curious about is the thing we need to start putting some effort into.

If you can do that then not only can you feed your innate desires but you might figure out how to find your dream job. It’s your responsibility to take this seriously as we approach the next step.

Figuring out what my passion is and what my purpose is — that’s the easy part.

Developing Your Passion and Purpose

Now we’re getting into the hard part — the grind. It’s doing what needs to get done even when you don’t feel like it.

Pushing through self-doubt and getting over the voice in your head telling you that you shouldn’t even be trying.

When you get past this fear you are going to bring something into the world that only you can bring.

When you do this, whatever your thing is, you’re going to start to feel fulfilled. I think that fulfillment is an unconditional passion that we all strive for no matter what.

When you hit that sweet spot of finding your passion, your purpose, and you are making progress, you’re going to feel fulfilled.

We’ve all heard the phrase ‘You’ll never work a day in your life if you love what you do.’ That can, and will, be you if you can follow your passion.

How to Find Your Dream Job

You need to keep fighting your place in the world and build on your momentum to turn your passion into your dream job.

You’re not just doing this for yourself but for everyone else who will benefit from what you have to offer. Keep developing your gifts, invest in yourself, and keep on creating more and more.

It could be cooking, singing, sewing, woodworking, racing, sailing, flying, juggling, it could be anything. Your passion is what drives you, your purpose is what defines you.

Your gifts can be used to change the whole world or just one person’s world — yours. If you feel a natural vibe towards something, start moving towards it.

Don’t give up when it gets hard, you have to earn your dream job. It won’t be handed to you.

Some of us are teachers and we’ll share our knowledge with other people. Others are entertainers and we’ll do our best to make people happy.

You could be a natural host and your gift is helping other people feel relaxed.

If you can locate your purpose your natural gifts will help you find your own piece of the pie.

Conclusion

Your passions may change but your purpose and gifts won’t.

If you’re a natural educator then that’s your gift and you can share that with the world. If you want to know how to find your passion then you need to look within and ask yourself what it is you want.

The world is waiting for what you have to offer.

Develop your passion, your purpose, and your gifts to bring something truly unique to people’s lives.

If things start to get tough then remember this is how to find your dream job. It starts with finding your purpose and ends when you feel fulfilled.
